Schools in Dublin, Ohio
There are three high schools in Dublin; Coffman (Shamrocks), Jerome (Celtics) and Scioto (Irish). There are four middle schools and 14 elementary schools. The district encompasses 47 square miles and the population was 41,751 in the 2010 census. Dublin spans three counties; Franklin, Delaware and Union.
Things to do in Dublin, Ohio
- The Memorial Golf Tournament. A PGA Tour golf tournament founded in 1976 by Jack Nicklaus annually hosts the top golfers in the world. It is played on a Nicklaus-designed course at Muirfield Village Golf Club. The tournament is sponsored by Nationwide Insurance.
- Indian Run Falls. A simple park in the center of Dublin. Depending on the time of the year there is a nice waterfall and charming creek. There are great hiking trails that run from the falls to Dublin’s Remembrance Park. A great place to enjoy a picnic while taking in the wildlife. There are no restrooms and parking is limited.
- Chief Leatherlips Monument. The monument honors Chief Leatherlips, (1732–1810) a Wyandot Native American leader of the late 18th and early 19th century. The “Leatherlips Curse” is said to bring rain to The Memorial Golf Tournament each year.
- Grounds of Remembrance. A well-kept, pleasant place for kids and adults to cool off during the hot summer months. The splash park and bunny statue are always a favorite with the kids. The real live rabbits don’t even run away!
